What is this licence?

The Enduring Connection Policy (ECP) is a process for grid connection applications. ECP is the current pathway for generators, storage, and other system services technology projects to connect to the electricity systems. Category A is used where MEC >0.5MW.

The ECP includes both the transmission network and the distribution network.

How to apply

You can make an application through the ESB Networks website.

You will need to provide a detailed site plan. You'll also need to show the ordnance survey map location of both the generator and the site boundary, clearly marked with red pen.
